How to Scan and
Stitch Large Originals
Scanning Large Originals
For originals
larger than 4x6 inches, you can take multiple scans of the original.
You then stitch them together later on your PC using the supplied
Easy Stitch stitching
software, as described in the next section.
Remove the lid and
flip the scanner over. Make multiple scans. Allow at least 1 inch or
more overlap between adjacent scans. Overlaps need not be
precisely
aligned or spaced. The stitching
software compensates for that. OK to scan past edges of the photo.
If you are
scanning something like a framed photo you can rotate the scanner
along different edges to capture the entire image. The Easy Stitch
software rotates individual partial scans to ensure proper
assembly/stitching of the final image. It's amazing software,
demonstrated in our test stitched image just below.

Caution: Do not scan drawings that are not fixed or
paintings till they are dry. Oils can take up to a year to be dry to
the touch or to scuffing. More here on drying times:
